Getting to Tsuruoka
By air
Direct flights connect Tokyo (Haneda) with Shonai Airport in about an hour. From the airport, central Tsuruoka is roughly 30 minutes away — or simply choose the airport as your tour pickup point.
By rail
From Tokyo, take the Joetsu Shinkansen to Niigata and transfer to the JR Inaho limited express for Tsuruoka Station — also available as a pickup point.
